December 17, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm

This new e-dialogue aims to identify successful urban farming policies and initiatives developed by municipalities, as part of the ongoing FAO-EBRD technical package to support the agribusiness sector. Hearing the voice of municipalities, already engaged with urban farming, you will discuss the policies and regulation changes that enable public and private investments in urban agriculture and how the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainability were targeted. The University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum will moderate an interactive discussion with representative of municipalities that have elaborated city plans to encourage and foster social and commercial urban agriculture. The organizing committee involves representatives from different European Universities and Research Centres, including the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum (Italy), ILS-Research Institute for Regional and Urban Development (Germany), Wageningen University and Research (The Netherlands), AgroParisTech (France), the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain), the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Hungary) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece).
The e-dialogue will be moderated by Francesco Orsini, Professor of Urban Agriculture at University of Bologna and Jacopo Monzini, FAO Senior Officer.
Time and place Friday, December 17, 2021, from 10:30am to 1:00pm CET on the Zoom platform.
