Plant factory for social inclusion
Background:
TAS already owns the first and largest plant factory in Norway, producing microgreen for local restaurants and shops. NBL collaborates with TAS and may bring in knowledge and skills on social inclusion and job creation. Partners may provide skills on plant cultivation technologies and resource management.
Vision:
A sustainable system for indoor production, packaging and distribution of already cut microgreens, baby leaf and salads will be implemented, and will also integrate alternative strategies of sales distribution and transportation that include the use of ecological transportation. The Pilot aims at creating job opportunities and training activities (e.g. for unemployed international refugees) and promoting massive citizen participation in the dissemination and promotional events.
In collaboration with FoodE partners:
Tasen microgreens AS (NO), Nabolagshager AS (NO), Wageningen University & Research (NL), University of Bologna (IT) and Flytech (IT)
